The Pasadena Police Department and Chief Jane Harris are undergoing new scrutiny after two new lawsuits were announced on Tuesday, claiming sexual harassment and racism.
Attorney Brad Gage announced legal action by Keith Gomez and and Lt. Col. Monica Cuerell joined a few other officers who filed similar claims last year.
The new lawsuit includes allegations against Black Harris, including him using the n-word at a meeting and asking Kuerar about the genital size of the city’s attorney.
They also claim some instances of sexual misconduct by Harris. He was contacted by a woman in his office, where he set up a bed of Murphy in disguise in a cabinet.
Additionally, the PPD is said to have a similar deputy gang to what is believed to be present in the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
One of those gangsters, Veteronos, is only for the officer who shot someone, Gage claims.
A Pasadena City spokesman refused to address certain claims when KTLA’s Kareen Wynter reached, and instead issued a statement confirming that the city had received at least one lawsuit on Tuesday.
“The city is reviewing its claims,” the statement said. “The City takes all allegations of fraud seriously. The City will follow all appropriate procedures and process the claims with complete information. The claims will be addressed through appropriate legal proceedings rather than through media.”
