The Pasadena Unified School District has filed a lawsuit against Sosal Edison seeking compensation for damages caused by the devastating Eaton fire.
A total of 17 people were killed in the Eton fire, burning more than 14,000 acres and destroying or destroying 10,000 structures.
Among the damaged or destroyed structures are several schools in the Pasadena Unified School District, becoming the latest entity to file a lawsuit against SCE on Friday.
The damaged apartment complex hasn’t disappeared a few months after Eton Fire, angry residents say
“The documents submitted in the legal filing contain photographic evidence of the origins of the fire and reference to SCE’s own regulatory application that recognizes abnormalities in the electrical system that match the time and location of the fire,” reads the release of PUSD Media. “The district’s complaint says Edison submitted a report to the California Public Utilities Commission, acknowledging that the “deficiency was detected” almost at the same time the fire began. ”
Socal Edison recently announced that it was investigating “zombie” power lines as a possible origin of a fatal fire.
