The 24-year-old Inglewood man was taken into custody in connection with a violent, armed carjacking in Culver City almost two years ago, officials said.
Aaron Frenoy was identified on August 3, 2023 as a suspect involved in a brutal carjacking, including a semi-automatic handgun in the 5300 block of Sepulveda Boulevard, according to a news release from the Culver City Police Department.
Regarding parole for robbers during carjacking, investigators said the 24-year-old has a wide criminal history with many felony convictions for violent crimes.
He was able to remove police in 2023, but the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office committed two counts of assault in two attacks by a former Ferron who possessed a semi-automatic firearm and a firearm. Authorities said an arrest warrant was issued for Flenoy, whose bail was set at $5.7 million.
At about 10am on June 3, CCP officials were moving west on Centinera Avenue, discovering Flonay behind the wheels of an Inglewood vehicle and attempting to stop him.
Despite the presence of an adult woman and two children in the car, a 24-year-old pursuit was launched, despite the presence of a 24-year-old child.

“Flenoy ran at the intersection of Centinela Avenue and La Brea Avenue at a red light and attacked another vehicle,” the release elaborated.
Flenoy and the adult woman were later identified as 30-year-old Inglewood resident Timberline Davenport, who suffered minor injuries during the collision. The innocent driver involved in the collision was not injured.

Authorities say two children in Flenoy’s vehicle were taken to a nearby hospital for further evaluation and treatment. Those conditions were not readily available.
In addition to the armed carjacking in August 2023, Flenoy was booked for avoiding felony and causing felony children to risk. The 30-year-old woman who had several unresolved warrants was also booked for the dangers of a felony child, authorities noted.
The investigation into the tracking that led to the crash will be handled by investigators on the California Highway Patrol.
