A hit-and-run driver is on the run after a pedestrian was hit and killed in Reseda.
On Friday night, Los Angeles Police Department responded to a crash in the 18600 block of Saticoy Street around 9:30 p.m.
The victim, identified only as a man in his 60s, was walking southbound on Saticoy Island when he was struck by a vehicle traveling eastbound.

The impact knocked the man to the ground, but the suspect driver fled the scene without stopping.
The man was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene. The victim’s body was placed under a police canopy and the road was closed while authorities investigated.
No description of the suspect driver or his vehicle was provided as the events leading up to the fatal crash are still under investigation.
The victim’s family members who arrived at the scene could be seen crying and hugging each other as they spoke with police.
