Phase 2 of Eaton and Palisade’s burning zone debris removal is scheduled to begin Tuesday.
Gov. Gavin Newsom’s office made an announcement Monday, saying that the state and federal governments are working at a record-breaking pace to help property owners rebuild.
According to local and state leaders, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is on track to complete “Phase 1” of debris removal, including removing hazardous materials from property, within a 30-day target time. I’m here.
“Phase 2” is led by the US Army Corps of Engineers and is expected to begin work at Palisade by Tuesday morning and Tuesday afternoon.
“What you’re trying to see is the increase in activity in your community. I know you’ve seen a lot of utility trucks and other repair cars, construction-like vehicles in your neighborhood. – You will see more and more as we come to collect actual pieces and prepare to rebuild your property with the Army Corps of Engineers, Colonel Brian D. Sauser said.
Colonel Sauser said each property owner would have the opportunity to speak to Army representatives before the agency begins work. For those who still have a portion of their property standing, like gates and decks, they can talk to engineers about debris removal plans.
