Most of the first green energy projects the Biden administration boasts about now lying in abandoned, polluting parts of America’s beautiful seas and coasts in Nantucket, Massachusetts.

Exclusive images obtained by Fox News Digital show the remaining crushed ruins of a marine wind turbine built by vineyard winds, a green energy project touted by the Biden administration.

The turbine was recently struck by lightning, destroying several months after one of its blades had fallen dangerously into the Atlantic Ocean, dropping a non-biodegradable fiberglass shard into the water, some of which were washed and forced to close six Nantucket beaches.

Former Biden Campaign staffers have slammed the former presidential team and feel they are “lied” after finding out he is “incompetent.”

The Cape Cod Times reported that the broken turbine hit Lightning on February 27th, “lit and peeled off.”

Today – Just a few years after the Biden administration announced the project in 2021, the turbine is sitting in abandoned turbine, exposed from approximately 14 voyages from Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts.

In May 2021, the Biden-era Interior Bureau announced approval for the construction and operation of a vineyard wind project. The administration touted the project as contributing to green energy goals.

Former President Joe Biden’s secretary, Interior Deb Haaland, called the project an important step in taking an important step to advance the administration’s goals while fighting climate change and the strength of our nation.”

She said it was “one of the many actions we are determined to take to open the door to economic opportunities for more Americans.”

“This project is an example of the investment needed to meet the Biden-Harris administration’s ambitious climate goals, and I am proud to be part of the team leading offshore wind charging,” said Biden’s Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimond.

But after the project fell on literal flames, locals had more choice words to say about the Biden administration’s “ambitious climate goals.”

“Everyone wants a healthy planet, but when the planet defending the green planet is what damages it, it puts you in a pause,” Nantucket homeowner, Barstool Sports president Dave Portnoy told Fox News Digital after the blades separate and fell into the ocean.

Portnoy lamented those who paid good money just because they couldn’t visit closed beaches.

“The family is simply ruining it by negligence to take leave to Nantucket for years,” he said.

Another local resident, Mary Charke, posted to X on X on March 23rd, continued to find fragments of blade fiberglass washing on land at Nantucket Beach on the south side of the island.

The Vineyard Gazette reported that the broken blades had manufacturing defects that were not caught during inspection, and that the project could have 66 other blades having the same problem. The outlet reported that vineyard winds have been ordered to remove all potentially defective blades.

The outlet said as of January, only 62 planned turbines were running.

A source familiar with the project said the devastating failure is “a glorious example of how these failed green energy projects pose dangers to the environment.”

“It was no coincidence that this wind turbine was hit by lightning just a few months after it collapsed into the ocean,” the source said.

On his first day in office, President Donald Trump suspended new or updated approvals, ordinary rights, permits, leases or loans for offshore wind projects, where reviews of federally-style leases and permitting practices are pending. He also issued a memorandum of understanding temporarily retracting the outer continental shelf from offshore wind leases.
