Getty Villa reopened for the first time on Friday since the devastating Palisade fire in January. And nearly six months after no visitors, the museum is set to debut a new exhibit. The villa has been closed since January 7th since the Palisade fire burned the surrounding area. The museum itself did not maintain the damage of the flames. But the basis was. Since then, the crew have been working to repair damage to the site as soon as possible. To begin reopening, the villa has debuted its latest exhibition, The Kingdom of Pylos. Many of these works are first seen in the US. The reopening on Friday is expected to bring crowds, and villas will have a limited schedule of opening hours: 10am to 5pm Friday through Monday.
