The first Huntington Beach celebration on July 4th, launched in 1904, attracted 50,000 people to the celebration to commemorate the arrival of the first electric passenger train that linked the area to Long Beach and Los Angeles. 121 years later, the annual tradition will attract more than 500,000 participants.
