Big Bear’s famous bald eagle couple, Jackie and Shadow prepare to welcome baby chicks into the nest.
A Big Bear Valley friend posted an image on Sunday showing one of the couple’s eggs clearly visible. That means the chicks inside are beginning to go outside.
“Hatching is a long process. It can take more than a day for a chick to fully emerge from the shell. During that time, we become patient and hold on to our most positive thoughts,” FBBV said.
Video On Sunday night, Jackie and Shadow settle in the evening, with one of the Eagles nearly buried in their heads in the snow, but still kept their eggs warm.
My chick appears to be hatched on Big Bear and is nearby. (Friend of Big Bear Valley) (Friend of Big Bear Valley) Three bald eagle eggs will be seen on Big Bear on March 7, 2024.
The second PIP may have been discovered early Monday morning, but as of 9am, FBBV has yet to confirm it on its website
Jackie and Shadow’s final chick, “Spirit,” was pinned on the date just three years ago, but fans of the couple were disappointed when the eggs didn’t hatch last year.
