Fire crews were called to the scene of a plane crash in Fullerton Thursday afternoon that forced an evacuation and left an unknown number of casualties.
The accident occurred in the 2300 block of West Ramer Avenue, adjacent to the Fullerton Municipal Airport, around 2:10 p.m.
The incident was reported as a structure fire, indicating the plane may have hit a building, possibly a warehouse.
The Fullerton Police Department confirmed that a plane crashed in the area and an evacuation is underway. Police said the number of “casualties” was unknown as of 2:40 p.m.

Video on the Citizen app showed large black smoke billowing from the crash site, a fire engine speeding toward the source, and firefighters assessing the situation from a nearby roof.
The total number of injured is unknown at this time.
