First on Fox: Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga. , and her Doge subcommittee will begin an investigation into Planned Parenthood on Friday.
Greene has written to Planned Parenthood CEO Alexis McGill Johnson, questioning whether the nonprofit is disrupting federal funds and using them for unauthorized purposes.
Federal funds are prohibited from being used for abortion under a measure known as the Hyde Amendment. President Donald Trump has also affirmed Hyde’s amendment and has taken enforcement measures to block federal dollars from organizations that provide transgender healthcare to youth.
However, Green’s letter suggested that she accused her of both the Planned parent-child relationship.

“Even though we receive 39% of our annual revenues from federal funds aimed at essential health services such as cancer screening and wellness testing, Planned Parenthood is increasingly using resources to provide abortions to patients,” Greene writes.
Green said the data “shows that the latest planned annual report on custody shows that over 400,000 abortions have been performed over the past decade.”
The letter also accused “gender-affirming care” of being accused of providing “gender-maintaining care,” which is allegedly “with little medical or psychological evaluation.”
The annual report by Planned Parenthood, cited by Greene, showed 45 “affiliate health centres” that offer hormone therapy for so-called “gender-affirming care.”
However, Green said other gender transition services were reported as “other procedures” including pediatric care and fertility services, obscuring “the true number of transgender services offered.”

“While the formal policy of planned parent-child relationships varies by state, some planned parent-child health centers provide intersex hormones to young minors as young as 16 with parental consent,” Green writes, accusing them of “not consistently complying with their own parental consent policies.”
To help her research, Greene is seeking private financial statements for planned parent-child relationships from January 2020 to June 2025, as well as a list of independent affiliate health centers, informed consent documents, and other documents.
In particular, during that period, the Supreme Court was Roev. It includes when it overturned Wade and sent back abortion issues back to the state in June 2022.
Republicans have long targeted planned parent-child relationships and have accused nonprofits of misusing federal dollars despite years of anti-abortion fundraising measures.

Meanwhile, the group’s supporters maintain it as the leading national provider of women’s healthcare. I believe this has only become more important since the High Court’s June 2022 decision.

Green’s panel under the House Oversight Committee is opening an investigation a few weeks after House Republicans passed Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” version.
