Police are dealing with homeless camps terrorizing their doctoral degrees

A day after KTLA reported on residents of a rooftop homeless camp terrorizing a doctorate in southern Los Angeles County, city officials issued a statement saying they would “dealize the immobilizing challenges” at the location “to address challenges related to immobilizing populations.”

Dr. Tahani Soliman, a general practitioner at Huntington Park, owns a building where he practices at the corner of rugby and Zoe.

The multi-level parking garage next to her practice is reportedly a hub for people who can easily access the roof, camp out, steal electricity, scrap metal from the air conditioning unit and start a fire.

Doctors say she estimated she spent more than $100,000 on repairs and deterrents such as barbed wire and fences that homeless people simply destroy. Staff told KTLA that police had told them there was little they could do and Soliman’s appeal to city officials was never returned.

Annoyed and angry at her lack of support for her business, staff and patients, she said it was enough.

For years, the rooftop homeless camp in Huntington Park has terrified the care of nearby doctors. “We live in hell,” Soliman said. There is no protection for my employees, patients or tenants. So I’m going to retire. Because of this, I lost everything. ”

In a news release, the Huntington Park Police Department said it was actively investigating the May 7th theft that occurred at 6526 Rugby Avenue, the Dr. Soliman building.

Officials did not mention the May 27 fire at the parking garage camp and theft of the electricity from the doctor’s building, but they are committed to ensuring public safety, officials said.

“Our executives work with city and county partners to link them to mental health services, social support programs and shelter options, and work with city and county partners to regularly engage with immobilized individuals,” the statement said.

Authorities added that they are working with community stakeholders to investigate issues at the Soliman building and address a wider range of issues affecting the surrounding areas.

Anyone with information regarding the May 7th theft is advised to contact Hppd Lt. Soberanis at 323-826-6636. Additional questions can be sent to Elsa Cobian at 323-826-6695.

Those who wish to report concerns or seek assistance can call the HOSHOUNED hotline at 323-926-1393.
