Authorities sought the public’s help on Tuesday when they spotted a woman allegedly lured at Bellflower over the weekend.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office, sheriff’s deputies responded to a possible call for a Hispanic woman on Sunday in the 9800 block of Cedar Street, about 40 years old.
Witnesses said the woman had been physically assaulted by a Hispanic man in his 30s.
Authorities say the man pulled the woman away from the 2005 Toyota Camry and thrust her into a 1997 green or green Ford Explorer. Afterwards, Ford drove eastbound on Cedar Street.
The woman reportedly left the victim’s car and took her to the driver’s seat.
“The female victim is believed to be known to the suspect, and is taken by the suspect against her will and is in physical danger,” sheriff’s officials said. . “To date, no female victims have been identified and no local law enforcement reported to have been missing.”
The Toyota Camry’s California license plate is 5NJW241 and the Ford Explorer is 3XNZ003, sheriff’s deputies said.
