Los Angeles police are searching for a driver who struck and seriously injured a woman crossing the road in the Larchmont neighborhood in October.
The 22-year-old woman was struck while crossing Western Avenue near Clinton Street just before 3:45 a.m. on Oct. 16, police said in a news release.
Video shared by the Los Angeles Police Department appears to show a woman and man getting out of a car parked in a driveway on Clinton Street and arguing outside a crosswalk before starting to cross Western Avenue. .
When the man turned around and headed back towards the car, the woman tried to avoid him.
The vehicle, which authorities believe may be a gray Toyota Camry, struck the woman.
The sedan then continued north without the driver stopping to assist or identify himself. The man who was with the woman also fled without calling for help.
The woman suffered “serious injuries” and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
There is a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the driver’s identification and conviction or civil settlement.
