Authorities on Wednesday called for the public’s help in tracking down the person responsible for the death of the 53-year-old, who died among residents of Van Nuis.
The fatal incident occurred last Saturday in the 12,600 block of Riverside Drive. A patrol officer who had a welfare check on the resident discovered that the man was not responding inside his apartment.
Los Angeles Fire Department emergency services responded to the location, where they pronounced the man who died at the scene.
The deceased was identified as Menache Hydra on Wednesday by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office.
Police said the suspect had illegally entered the victim’s apartment, prompting a physical dispute that led to the death of the victim.
The suspect was said to be a 5-6-inch tall Hispanic man between the ages of 30 and 40, weighing 180-200 pounds and had dark hair. He finally wore a dark jacket, a white shirt and blue jeans.
