The White House announced that President Biden signed the emergency funding bill on Saturday, extending government funding through March and averting a government shutdown.
The bill includes $100 billion in disaster relief and a one-year farm bill.
After a week of chaos at the Capitol, the Senate worked into the early hours of Saturday morning to pass the bill 85-11 shortly after the deadline.
President Biden has not yet publicly commented on the bill’s passage.
“HR 10545, the American Rescue Act of 2025, provides fiscal year 2025 appropriations to federal agencies through March 14, 2025, for ongoing federal projects and activities, and provides disaster relief appropriations. and provide economic assistance to farmers, the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018, and extend several expiring authorities,” a White House statement said.
