President Donald Trump decided to cut off his trip with the G7 Short on Monday shortly after saying, “Everyone should evacuate Tehran!” on the social media platform, True Social.
In addition to Trump, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who was in Alberta, Canada this week, will also cut his trip due to the G7 meeting this week, Fox News has learned.
“I have to go back,” Trump said during a ritual photo shoot with other world leaders who attended Monday’s G7 Summit. “You’ll probably see what I’m seeing, and I have to go back as soon as possible.”

The president’s comments confirmed in confirmation from the White House that he would shorten his travels because of “what’s going on in the Middle East.” Meanwhile, Trump has called for his National Security Council to prepare for his return, Fox News has learned.

The change in Trump’s plans comes after he sends a message to “everyone” in Iran on his true social platform and says they should “evacuate.”
Following the president’s post, there is a video in which Iranians evacuating the capital allegedly began to surface on social media.

Officials familiar with the ongoing situation said the US has not surprised Iran and has taken a defensive stance in the president’s comments.

Meanwhile, Defense Secretary Pete Hegses told Fox News after the US said it was “defensively taking a stance” before heading to the situation room Monday night.

“What you see in real time is first and foremost is peace through America. Our job is to get stronger. We took a defensive stance in our community to become stronger in pursuit of a peace agreement,” Hegses told Fox News’ Jesse Waters on Monday night.
“My job as Secretary of Defense is to ensure that our people are safe and that we are strong enough to set terms of the deal. And President Trump made it clear that it is on the table. The question is whether Iran will take it.”
