President Donald Trump has approved former Rep. Mike Rogers as Republicans are trying to win another US Senate seat in Michigan.
Rogers, who lost the 2024 U.S. Senate Contest in Wolverine State to then-democratic Rep. Elissa Slotkin, mounted another U.S. Senate bid earlier this year.
Calling the candidate “America’s first patriot,” the president marked the candidate’s approval on Thursday’s Truth Social Post, saying, “Mike Rogers has my full and full support – he won’t let you down!”

Trump previously approved Rogers in 2024 before Rogers won the Republican Senate primary.
US Senator Rand Paul, R-Ky. was stubbornly opposed Trump’s support of Rogers in 2024.

“Donald Trump just supported the worst state candidate of this cycle,” Paul declared in X’s 2024 post. “@mikeragersformi is by no means a trumper and a member carrying Spy State cards that try to destroy the cards.
A few minutes later, Paul added in another post, “If Mike Rodgers (R Deep State) is good at it, you should choose Liz Cheney for VP.”
Trump will support GOP Senators a few years after claiming that he will never support this jerk again.

Rogers served in the U.S. House of Representatives for seven terms, from early 2001 to early 2015 to early 2015.
