FEMA came under national scrutiny last year when Hurricane Helen devastated North Carolina, destroying homes and businesses and killing more than 100 people. FEMA and the Biden administration have faced fierce backlash over their response to the emergency, with President Trump accusing the agency of obstructing relief efforts in Republican areas.
“Democrats don’t care about North Carolina. What they’ve done to FEMA is so bad. FEMA is a whole other discussion because all they do is complicate everything. ” he said.
