President Donald Trump is celebrating the end of CBS’s “Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”

“I absolutely love Colbert being fired,” he wrote about the Truth Society. “His talent was even less than he appreciated.”

The president then turned his attention to other late-night hosts.

“I’ve heard Jimmy Kimmel is next. He’s even less talented than Colbert! Greg Gutfeld is better than the combination of all of them, including the NBC idiot who once ruined the great “Tonight Show.” ”

Comments announced that the show would end in May 2026 after CBS’s parent company Paramount was announced hours later.

“Stephen Colbert thought it was irreplaceable and retired from the “Late Show” franchise of the time. Stephen is proud to have called CBS Home.

It may not be directly related, but this comes just days after the comedian criticized Paramount’s settlement with Trump.

“On my vacation, my parent company, Paramount, paid Donald Trump a $16 million settlement in his ’60-minute’ lawsuit. As someone who is a proud employee of this network, I feel offended. “Now I believe that this kind of complex financial settlement with this kind of government official has a technical name in the legal circle. It’s a big fat bribe. All this is that Paramount owners are trying to approve the Trump administration to sell their network to the new owner Skydance.”

Earlier this month, Money Watch reported that Paramount Global Parent National Amusements and Skydance Media had agreed to merge after their previous speeches were concluded.

Many have come to Colbert’s defense, including California Sen. Adam Schiff, a guest on the show on Thursday night.

“We’ve just finished the taping of Stephen Colbert, who announced the show was cancelled. If Paramount and CBS end the ‘Late Show’ for political reasons, the public deserves to know.

Celebrities are also jumping into the conversation.

“I’m sorry to hear CBS, but I’m canceling one of the best shows they have. I hope that all the hard-working people on that show are the best,” wrote actor Ben Stiller.

Kimmel also supported his peers’ late-night anchor writing with his Instagram stories: “Love You Stephen. F-K You and All Sheldon CBS.”

Colbert has been involved in “Late Shows” since September 2015 when he took over to his former host, late-night legend David Letterman.
