Prince Harry’s immigration record partially released by DHS

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will release some compilation of Prince Harry’s immigration records in an ongoing lawsuit over the royal family’s movement to the United States.

A New York Post report on Friday said federal judge Carl Nichols will provide the court with an edited version of Harry’s files edited for review, with the ultimate goal of publishing the records. This move occurs after ordering the agency.

The question is whether the British royal family lied to immigration documents when they moved to the US in 2020, or did they receive priority treatment, Harry later replied with his memoir “Spare.” revealed that he had used illegal drugs.

The Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, sued DHS for releasing Harry’s records, hoping to find out if the 40-year-old Royal had not disclosed his previous drug use in his immigration application.

In a DHS filed in court, the agency said that it could hand over “Item 1-3” of Harry’s records with some edits, but would not release “Item 4.”

Nichols said at a hearing earlier this month that they wanted to disclose records “in stages” to prevent violations of U.S. privacy laws, but what information will be included in items that DHS plans to release. It is unknown whether this will occur.

The DHS should provide an edited version of the judge’s review records until March 6th, the report notes.

Nile Gardiner, director of the Heritage Foundation’s Margaret Thatcher Center for Freedom Center, argues that “transparency” is important when it comes to how immigration cases are handled.

“It’s important because it’s a matter of rule of law, transparency and accountability. No one should go beyond the law,” Gardiner said earlier this month. “Donald Trump is in a new era of strict border control enforcement, and Prince Harry has admitted widespread use of illegal drugs and should be completely detained to explain.”

DHS did not immediately respond to requests for Fox News digital comment.
