Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco has announced his candidacy for California governor.
Bianco made the announcement Monday morning with supporters and other elected officials at an event in Riverside. It was also streamed to his personal Facebook page.
It was speculated that Donald Trump’s outspoken conservative and longtime supporters would announce his bid to replace Gavin Newsom as California’s next governor.
Bianco posted his video last year to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Division, and posted his video addressed to social media followers. Supporting the placement of “felons in the White House.”

The video was shared the week after Trump was convicted in New York State with a 34-count business record.
He continued the video by saying that California criminals received priority treatment and accusing Newsom of having “love” with law violations. He also accused politicians of “cutting” law enforcement budgets, despite the increase in budgets for his own sector over $270 million since it was sworn in 2019.
Bianco says he’s “switching teams,” putting his support behind Trump’s convicted felons, saying, “Let’s save this country and make America great again.” We concluded the video.

Bianco is one of the most notable names to declare its governor’s office in 2026, joining current lieutenant governor Eleni Kunarakis, public leader Tony Thurmond and former Los Angeles mayor Antonio Villarigoza .
Former Vice President Kamala Harris has not publicly expressed interest in his position, but a recent Emerson College Nexstar Media poll found its overwhelming support from the state’s registered Democrats. I did.
