President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin appear to be on track to hold their first meeting soon, since Trump took office in his second term earlier this year.
“The US proposal agreed in principle that bilateral meetings will be held at the highest level in the coming days,” Putin’s foreign advisor Yuri Ushakov said according to the Associated Press.
“First of all, I propose to focus on preparing for a bilateral meeting with Trump, and I believe that the meeting is most important to be successful and productive,” he said according to Exguchi.
Trump will open to meet Putin next week, followed by a tripartite discussion with Ukraine’s Zelensky.

A potential meeting will come as President Trump is trying to help end the long-standing Russian-Ukraine war.
