A man on probation was found earlier this week with hundreds of pounds of illegal fireworks at a high altitude business complex.
Upland Police Station was featured on X, posting that officers responded to a business interference in the 1600 block of West Alo Route on Monday night. The exact time for the call has not been revealed.
One of the parties involved in the reported obstruction was swinging weapons, police said.

“Officers contacted suspects on probation for the attack from LA County and conducted a massive probation search for his commercial force,” said an Upd social media post. “The officers have discovered a big stash of illegal fireworks that are sold in the community and quickly put a business complex at risk.”

The man whose name is not publicly known was booked to prison for wielding a weapon and possessing illegal fireworks for sale – a felony and violating his probation.
“As a reminder, all fireworks are illegal in high altitudes,” advised police. “Visuers, including property owners whose fireworks have been discharged, could face a $1,000 fine.”

In the past few months, cases and laws have been rising, including illegal fireworks. The city of Carson announced earlier this year that fireworks were not permitted to be used, sold or discharged, but illegal exhibits still occurred regularly, causing a negative impact on residents.
Meanwhile, Fullerton recently adopted an emergency ordinance that significantly raises and enforces its zero-tolerance policy for the use and possession of illegal fireworks.
In May, former Cal Fire officials seized more than £100,000 of illegal fireworks from LA County businesses.
