Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) is on viral due to her comments on illegal immigrants and her urging her Americans to “think” about whether they chose food at the table.

“If you see the food on the table, think about who chose it. If you see the house, think about who made them. If you see the vulnerable elders and children, who cares Think about whether there is. “Jayapal said to the crowd.

Jayapal made controversial remarks during the greedy billionaire press conference of the Congress’ progressive Caucus, and critics quickly denounced Jayapal. She compared her statements to advocating for slave labor and indentured service, pointing to the abuses faced by illegal immigrants.

Rep. Nancy Mace (Rs.C.) took Jayapal to X to criticize him and called the statement “Mega WTF moment.”

“Rep. Pramila Jayapal sang praise for illegal immigrants. We smash the cheap labor and praise the indentured service,” Mace tweeted.

This is not the first time Jayapal has made a statement about the US, which relies on illegal immigrant labor. In 2023, she was criticised for saying that illegal immigrants were needed to “choose what food we eat,” “clean our homes,” and “rebuild our communities after a climate disaster.” I did.

Jayapal criticised the US for saying “it’s necessary” to “choose what food we eat” and “clean our home.”

Jayapal also swiped over Elon Musk and said, “It appears he’s forgotten that he’s an undocumented immigrant.”

Lawmakers are likely referring to a Washington Post report from October 2024 that claimed Musk had illegally worked in the United States in the 1990s. The billionaire declined the report in a post from X, saying he holds a “J-1 visa that has moved to H1-B.”

In a recent interview, Jayapal denounced President Donald Trump for claiming that “anyone who is not documented is a criminal.” The lawmakers argued that the statement was “not true.”

The White House has made it clear that when it comes to illegal immigration, it is heading in a different direction than the Biden administration.

When asked about the criminal status of illegal immigrants detained by immigration and customs enforcement in January, White House spokesman Caroline Leavitt said that “all of them have illegally broken the laws of our country.” said he was a criminal.

“If they break the laws of our country, yes, they’re criminals,” Levitt said as he again pushed the matter.
