Exclusive: Pro Life Group is celebrating a “risqué victory” after Planned Parenthood announced that its two Houston, Texas facilities will be closed this fall.

In an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital, Shawn Carney, the 40-day CEO of Life CEO and Houston resident, expressed “both personal and professional uplifting” with the closure of the facility, including a 78,000-square-foot clinical facility, which he said is the largest abortion facility in the Western Hemisphere.

“This is massive news about the pro-life movement and points to the direction Planned Parenthood is heading.

Plan’s Parent-Child Gulf Coast, which operates six clinics in the Houston area and two in Louisiana, closed its Prevention Park and Southwest Center on September 30, with other Houston facilities being acquired by the organization’s largest Texas affiliate.

This is the organization is selling its only Manhattan Health Center building for $39 million amid the closure of several planned parent-child facilities in various states, including New York.

GOP-led facilities with abortion restrictions, including Texas, have been forced to suspend the proceedings following a 2022 Supreme Court decision that overturned Roe V. Wade and returned the abortion decision to the state.

“Now they’re closing down the world’s largest abortion facility,” Carney said. “Their flagship. They’re very proud of it in Houston, Texas. They’ve finally closed it and it’s incredible.”

The company cited rising costs, shortages and low reimbursement rates as reasons for closing two Houston facilities. GOP officials in recent years have made repeated attempts to close parental relationships for planned parents, even after almost all abortions were banned under Texas law.

The Trump administration has sought to impose fund cuts on planned parent-child relationships that could lead to the closure of additional facilities. The provisions of the GOP-backed bill will terminate one-year Medicaid payments to abortion providers who received more than $800,000 from the program in 2023.

The judge granted an interim injunction earlier this week that prevented the provisional injunction of not offering abortion or reducing Medicaid payments to planned parent and child membership organizations that do not meet the threshold of at least $800,000 in Medicaid refunds in certain years.

Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast will close its Prevention Park and Southwest Centre on September 30th.

Kearney said that since 2006, 40 days of life have been praying and staying up all night outside of Houston’s enormous abilities.

“Number of people went out and offered alternatives. We had a pro-life bus outdoors to do free ultrasound. So many lives were saved, but honestly, they seemed Goliath and it didn’t matter if we were David or not,” he said. “They were always open and they were always going to win.”

Kearney described the facility’s closure as a “risqué victory” of the pro-life movement, saying it represented “one of the biggest victory we had.”

“The planned parent-child relationship has always been very top-heavy in DC, and that has been a weakness in the pro-life movement. [the court] “It sent it back to America, and it sent it back to the places where the grassroots pro-life movement is the strongest,” he said.

The closure of the two Houston facilities indicates “the pro-life movement is built for the postrow’s America” and “more than anything,” Carney said, adding that the planned parent-child relationship is not a “monster that cannot be left.”

“They are very vulnerable. When you see the closure of New York and the closure of Houston, this is what is expressed: all the nonsense about serving other services and women and helping low-income women.
