Los Angeles County prosecutors refused Tuesday to file criminal charges against former “NYPD Blue” actor Kim Delaney and her husband after being arrested in Marina Del Rey over the weekend.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office cited “inadequate evidence” in the case, the DA’s office said in an email to the NBCLA. Delaney, 65, and James Morgan, 55, were arrested Saturday when sheriff’s deputies responded to a domestic obstruction report at Delaney’s residence.
Delaney was booked for assault and Morgan allegations of spouse battery. According to prison records, Morgan was released on a $20,000 bond on the same day, and Delaney was released Tuesday.
Delaney won Emmy for playing detective Diane Russell in the long-running ABC drama “Nypd Blue.” She portrayed Detective Diane Russell in a police drama and won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a drama series in 1997.
She was nominated for three Emmy Awards.
Delaney also played the roles of “All My Children,” “The OC,” “Army Wives,” “CSI: Miami,” and “Chicago Fire.”
Delaney posted about the couple’s second wedding anniversary in October, and wrote on Instagram, “Great memories! I love you.” In March, Delaney posted a photo of herself and Morgan, writing “pure love.”
