Dozens of people were protesting in Bell on Friday after an ice attack in a car wash that ended with multiple people being detained.
Federal agents arrived at Jack’s car wash on Atlantic Avenue around 2:30pm, where they detained at least two individuals.
According to his brother, another man was also taken into custody for an agent being blocked.
Surveillance video captured almost 12 masked agents entering the business while workers were cleaning their vehicles. The four agents are seen working on the ground with individuals on the ground before handcuffing them and then taking them away.
In Maywood, about two miles from Jack’s car wash, federal agents crashed another car wash business and detained at least one person. A group of protesters gathered outside Xpress Wash to protest the arrest.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said Border Patrol vehicles were damaged during operations in Bell and Maywood. Local law enforcement agencies also responded to the incident, according to DHS.
