Hundreds of demonstrators gathered at MacArthur Park on Saturday to denounce the ice in response to multiple immigration enforcement projects at the Home Depostore.

Protesters marched peacefully through downtown L.A. and said the Home Improvement Shop was the stage for federal agents in sought a boycott of Home Depot.

According to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), more than 12 people were taken into custody Wednesday outside a store on Wilshire Boulevard in the Westlake area during a surgery called a “Trojan horse,” according to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The Border Patrol has carried out targeted attacks that led to the arrests of 16 illegal aliens from Guatemala, Mexico, Honduras and Nicaragua, added the DHS.

The operation comes about a month after local leaders, including LA Mayor Karen Bass, condemned the large presence of federal agents at MacArthur Park.

“It’s important because it’s making a difference. It’s making ice not to be scared. This is our park. You’re not going to keep taking our black and brown people, our Indigenous people,” said activist Natalie Dixon.

The gathering held on Saturday by the Boycott Home Depot Coalition represents around 50 different organizations.

“We want the LAPD to protect people and protect those they have vowed to protect, and we also want people to be taken out of detention from deportation proceedings,” said Pastor Edgar Rivera Colon.

A video clip of San Bernardino captured a tense moment during another immigration operation at Home Depot on Thursday.

Witnesses said armed federal agents and more than six SUVs rose behind the parking lot at Home Depot on 21st Avenue near the 210 Highway.

Witnesses say more than a day of workers gathered in the area began running immediately after seeing federal agents previously.

Several witnesses shared video clips from their phones with NBC Los Angeles so that at least one person can be seen in the video where the dramatic scene unfolds around 9am, where it is detained by what appears to be a federal agent.

NBC4 reached out to ICE to comment on the rally but did not respond.
