Massive protests over Elon Musk’s involvement in the White House broke out at the SpaceX facility in Hawthorn on Saturday.
Images captured by Onscene.tv show hundreds of people gathered outside with indications of speaking out against the world’s wealthiest man and criticising President Donald Trump.
Musk has played a prominent role in the White House since the second Trump administration began in January. His official position is “special government employee” and he assumes the role of the new “government efficiency” or Doge’s head.

Officially, Doge, a temporary contracting office designed to cut costs and tackle national debt, has faced criticism for cutting thousands of jobs across the federal government.
Protesters on Saturday said Musk would “damage democracy” with his actions as an unelected official.
Musk, who has an estimated net worth of $360 billion, poured millions of dollars into political campaigns for conservative candidates last year, according to Forbes. Last month, his nonprofit Building America Future spent 1.6 million on television ads in a Wisconsin Supreme Court competition to support conservatives.
It is estimated that Musk spent about $250 million last year to help Trump elect.
