Local health officials are warning beach fans to refrain from swimming, surfing or playing in the ocean in several popular Los Angeles County beaches as recent testing has revealed higher levels of bacteria exceeding state health standards.
The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health issued a warning to:
Mother’s Beach in Marina Del Rey – Castle Area Storm Drain throughout the swimming area of Topanga County Beach – Santa Monica Storm Drain 100 yards up and down the coast from Santa Monica Pier – 100 yards up and down the coast from the pier
At the same time, health officials announced that water quality has improved at several other sites, lifting previous warnings for the following areas:
Lamires Creek Paradise Cove in Malibu Solsti Creek in Dunblocker County
