Queen Mary launches new membership programs with perks, events and more

Queen Mary, the renowned ocean liner in Long Beach, is stepping in new ways, inviting her most loyal fans. On Monday, the ship announced its first-ever membership program, describing its access throughout the year, exclusive events, and its operators as a deeper connection to the vessel’s past and future.

This program will introduce four membership layers: Queen Mary+Pass, QM+Family Membership, Spirit Pass, and VIP Pass. Each has its own advantages. Members can expect free admission, discounts on meals and shopping, and access to over 23 exhibits on historic boats.

Some levels include tickets for member-only gatherings and private tours, but the “breathless” Tia highlights Queen Mary’s ghost reputation with paranormal experiences and even stays overnight at the infamous Stateroom B340.

“This new membership program is more than access, it’s about the community,” said Steve Karoka, managing director at Queen Mary. “We wanted to create a way for our most loyal visitors to experience the ship like never before.

Membership starts at $149, with the highest tier price being $1,967. The VIP package includes tickets for distinctive celebrations such as behind the scenes tours, such as Queen Mary’s July 4th and the Big Ve Day event. Family members can ride up to three guests throughout the year for $298.

In addition to the membership rollout, Queen Mary is inviting visitors to participate in the ongoing restoration through the “Employ Rivets” program. For $10, participants can symbolically employ one of the ship’s 10 million rivets, with revenue being stored directly.

“Using rivets is a simple yet powerful way to become part of history,” Karoka said. “Every donation protects this precious ship and ensures that its grandeur continues to inspire future generations.”

Since her maiden voyage in 1936, Queen Mary has been celebrated as one of the most spectacular ocean liners ever built. After decades of wartime service and use as a landmark for hotels, museums and culture, the ship remains anchored to Long Beach, depicting history lovers, paranormal and casual visitors.

With membership now available, Queen Mary operators say they want to be a living monument to community hubs and maritime history, as they place the ships as more than tourist attractions.

Visitors can go online for more information about membership and upcoming events.
