A Los Angeles County man is faced with the murder charges of his ex-girlfriend, who was arrested by a San Diego murder detective and was first reported missing.
A 33-year-old Hispanic woman, who has not been identified by authorities, was reported to have gone missing on July 15, 2025 by a San Diego police officer under suspicious circumstances.
During the investigation, San Diego Police detectives discovered evidence that led them to believe the victim was dead, and it is reportedly a murder unit at the San Diego Police Department took over the investigation.

Police Department reportedly led the murder detective to search for the 48-year-old Eduardo Magana, a 48-year-old Eduardo Magana, a resident of Lapuente, Los Angeles County, to search for the missing woman’s ex-boyfriend.

The San Diego detective went to Magana’s house in Lapuente, but was later arrested in a traffic stop in Southgate and was later interviewed by SDPD detectives, according to the police department.
Magana was booked to the San Diego County Jail on suspicion of murder.
