The Los Angeles Rams will soon make NFL history as they will become the first team to carry out a draft operation from the fire department. The move is to honor firefighters following the fatal wildfires in January.
In a partnership with Zillow, the team will turn some of the Los Angeles Fire Department’s aviation operations facilities into official headquarters from April 24th to 26th.
General Manager Les Snead and head coach Sean McVay lead the team’s draft efforts from converted rooms at the LAFD facility. The adjacent hangar will host Rams staff, coaches, scouts and media members throughout the three-day event. According to a news release, LAFD aviation operations will remain fully operational during the draft.

“This is a powerful reminder of what it means to represent Los Angeles,” Rams President Kevin Demov said in a statement. “As a wildfire destroyed our area in January, we are trying to bring together the RA to support our recovery efforts and shed light on our first responders. We are humbled to partner with LAFD in one of the NFL’s biggest moments.”
In addition to hosting the draft, the Rams will work with Zillow to renovate the station’s recreation room and provide a new recliner that will allow firefighters to relax between shifts.

So far, the Rams have donated nearly $2 million to wildfire recovery efforts.
The 2025 NFL Draft will air live on NFL Networks, ABC, ESPN, and ESPN Deportes, including Primetime Coverage on Thursday, April 24th and Friday, April 25th.
