A series of high-profile robberies at the homes of NFL players and warnings from the FBI have prompted one of Los Angeles’ brightest stars to take a proactive stance on the issue.
Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford recently invited law enforcement officers and NFL security personnel to his Los Angeles-area home for an inspection, TMZ reports. The purpose was to inspect the house for weak spots that might be of interest to potential robbers, the outlet said.
The Pro Bowl QB and three-time Super Bowl champion was not home at the time of the test, but he also received tips on how to keep his home safe, according to TMZ.

Tips included installing a burglar alarm system that covers the whole house, not just the first floor, and not leaving ladders outside the house.
Stafford’s concerns about his home seem justified. The league has been on high alert recently after a series of high-profile robberies at the homes of Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals and Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs.
According to reports, the robbery may be linked to a South American criminal organization. TMZ Stafford reports that the NFL asked law enforcement officials about the ring during a home inspection.
