The House Rules Committee has advanced a bill that will permanently rename the Gulf of America.
President Donald Trump, once the Gulf of Mexico, has signed an executive order that overturned it and improved it as part of America’s first agenda.
However, without Congressional action, the name could be returned by a future administration. This led to R-Ga, Senator Marjorie Taylor Greene. spurred the bill to promote the names of federal laws.
The measure was carried out through the House Rules Committee on partisan votes on Monday evening, and tees it for a chamber-wide vote this week. The House Rules Committee serves as the ultimate gatekeeper for most bills before reaching the floor of the house.

However, as expected, none of them passed the final bill.
Democrats tore the legislation in a pointless attempt to score political points with Trump.
But Republicans called it America’s “historic” move and “a critical symbol of its efforts and a step in the right direction.”
“Through our country’s history, the President has changed the names of American lands and waters. The changes we are discussing today show the world that America is tall and proud of our country.”

“It is nearly impossible to overstate the Gulf’s important role in achieving control, not just energy independence, but also domination. She pointed to the Republican sweep of the 2024 election. “The American people must support these policies and fulfill the promises we have made.”
Rep. Mary Gay Scanlon, a member of the House Rules Committee, said in the opening statement of the measure, “From the beginning of Trump’s term, House Republicans have been sucked into the president and have stumbled themselves to find new and embarrassing ways to savor his idiosyncratic obsessions,” D-PA said.
