Residents near burn areas in LA County were advised to take precautions before a run storm poses a potential mudslide risk.
LA County Public Works urged neighbors living in areas affected by recent wildfires to prepare for potential flooding and debris fallout.
“Small isolated mud and debris flows are possible in burn areas with less than two years of recovery. Streets may be flooded or blocked by debris, some high-risk characteristics of recent burn areas. “LA County Public Works is working with multiple agencies across the region to protect the public, property, and environment from potential mud and debris flows.” I am.
Cooler weather is expected to help Los Angeles’ ongoing gun battle and air quality, but it could bring new concerns.

The fire department is providing free dirt bags to residents to protect properties ahead of rainfall expected to start Saturday and stay through the weekend.
Los Angeles County requires residents to pick up punching bags. Once you pick up your bag, proof of residency is required.
“Please call the fire station/location listed for sand and land availability,” the county said on its website. “Please note: Due to demand, sand and bags may be temporarily out of stock. The Los Angeles County Fire Department, Beaches & Harbors, and Department of Public Works will ensure supplies are available. We are working in a coordinated effort during the storm.”
