Health and Human Services (HHS) secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. visited an FDA employee on Friday and reportedly said, “The deep state is the real thing.” The visit was his first appearance with FDA Commissioner Marty McCurry and was reportedly intended to welcome the new chief.
“President Trump is always talking about a deep nation, and the media is disgraceing him and saying he’s paranoid,” Kennedy said according to politics. “But the deep state is real. And it’s not just George Soros and Bill Gates, and the bunch of evil individuals sitting together in the room, planning on destroying humanity.”
Kennedy referred to “institutional pressure,” according to multiple reports.

Kennedy also reportedly said he became the “sock puppet” of the industry that the FDA intended to regulate. NBC News reported that Kennedy said it was the case for “all agencies” as well as the FDA.
One area Kennedy said he’s seen this within the FDA is generally recognized as a safe (GRAS) system and acts as a “loophole” for food companies. In March, Kennedy directed the FDA to reevaluate its policies regarding approved food companies before adding new ingredients to its products. He believes that “eliminating this loophole” is not only a key to improving the health of Americans, but also to improving the health of Americans.

The HHS secretary has not hidden his temper on the FDA, as he spoke about what changes he thinks are important to improve American health, particularly throughout the 2024 election cycle. About a week and a half before the election, Kennedy, who had already supported the current President Donald Trump, issued a clear warning to people who “work for the FDA and are part of this corrupt system.”
He kept their records and told them to “pack your bag.”

Kennedy recently embarked on a Make America Healthy tour, visiting Utah, Arizona and New Mexico. According to HHS, Kennedy was set to speak of state laws that ban ultra-processed foods and food dyes from school lunches, among other regulations.
Fox News Digital reached out to HHS to comment on the off-hours report, but received no response to publication.
