Developer Rick Caruso told residents of Los Angeles and Palisade that they are offering ready-made plans for Palisade residents who lost their homes to speed up construction projects, reduce costs and destroy their neighborhoods in the January fire.
“There is no sense of urgency in government agencies, and no sense of innovation.
Caruso hopes to reopen the shopping centre in the village of Palisade in early 2026, and believes there is no reason for the area to take five to ten years to recover.
“When we fold private institutions, private companies, and very talented people, we start to solve the issues very quickly, we talked about his efforts and his nonprofit, Undoubted LA.
The former mayoral candidate said he has already provided engineering plans to the LA Water and Power Department to move local power lines and equipment to reduce the risk of fire.
“We settled it for them,” he said. “If you leave it to the urban forces alone, by the time they just go through it, you’ll be doing it for years. So, the underground of the power line can happen at the same time as people are rebuilding their homes.”
He also said he had discussed purchasing wholesale construction companies and pre-stage them at Pallisard, pre-stage them to reduce restructuring costs that could rise along with tariffs on supply from Canada, Mexico and China.
Caruso also spoke to the city’s elected leader, its mansion tax, and candidates who applied to run for governor of California.
