If you taste the ice cream about rif this month, it’s definitely a rocky road.
The original Rocky Road has promised “an unforgettable adventure of rich chocolate, gooey marshmallows and crunchy California almonds,” but the current journey feels like a scoop filled with potholes of uncertainty.
Now you’ve heard about the end of ritual aid and the swirling questions surrounding Thrifty’s future. Reports suggest that the owner of the Monster Energy Drink has acquired the rights to the ice cream about rif.
The changes are already underway, but what it means for this iconic brand remains unknown.
For several weeks, KTLA contacted the Thrifty media team with questions about the future of their beloved ice cream, including:
How many times do rif or so leave the ice cream counter? What other retailers have rifme co? Do you have any plans for expansion?
These questions have not been answered. In fact, the entire Thrifty press email has been dismantled. While previous messages were being delivered, our latest attempts bounced back as “unable to deliver.”
The Thrifty website remains online, just like its social media pages, but has been dormant for several months. So until Wednesday, until the flicker of activity appeared: “We’re quiet, sorry… we know there’s some sweet news coming up.” In this post, I said that DMS is open and suggests “making new memories.”
Thrifty Ice Cream social media post. July 16, 2025.
We called the 1-800 number still listed for the Thrifty Ice Cream. Someone answered. A kind representative confirmed that media contacts were no longer available for sale. When asked about Thrifty’s future, she said the ice cream is still sold in various supermarkets and has been named several times. Beyond that, no one else spoke.
CNBC’s Fast Money first reported that the co-CEO of Monster Beverage Corporation had scooped up Thrifty’s assets at about $19.2 million.
So I contacted Monster Beverage Corporation. It was directed towards a general information email address.
Read our message:
“To discuss Thrifty’s future, I want to set up time to talk to the duo behind Monster Beverage Corp. If they’re not available, can I get information about Thrifty’s future plans?
Is ice cream still on sale in the market?
Are there plans for more standalone shops?
Are there any changes to the factory?
I would like to share a thrilling story and this next chapter. ”
So far, silent.
Apart from these inexplicable social media posts, Thrifty appears to be working quietly behind the scenes.
The iconic cylinder scoop is in your hand now. We are waiting for the answer and hope to share the next chapter of this legendary ice cream brand.
I’ll update with a scoop as soon as I get more.
