The union representing more than 3,500 Rite Aid workers across Southern California voted today to ratify a new three-year contract with the company, according to union officials.
An agreement was reached last week after nearly four months of negotiations.
“By ratifying this contract today, Rite Aid workers secured historic wage increases for all union members, protected our health benefits, and secured our pensions,” said Local United Foods.・According to a statement released by seven commercial workers,

Rite Aid officials did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
According to UFCW, the contract includes:
Wages for all workers increase significantly with each successive term of the contract. The first increase will be retroactive to July 21, 2024. New longevity rates for 10 and 15 years. Health and pension protection. Rite Aid agrees to fully cover all medical and pension costs without change during the term of the agreement. Protection for full-time and part-time guaranteed hours. Eliminating lunch exemption practices.
The union says the agreement is effective immediately.
