The homeowner said they were sick after several robbers were reported overnight in the Hollywood Hills and San Fernando Valley areas.
Early Saturday morning, a robber broke into a Hollywood Hills home, but was confronted by gun-armed residents.
James Marslo, a resident of Hollywood Hills, said he and his neighbors are increasing security measures in their homes, while also hiring private security to patrol their neighborhoods.
He said many neighbors are afraid of their safety due to the increased number of reported robberies.

“We take pride in our city, but it’s turned upside down,” Marzullo told KTLA’s Jennifer McGraw. “I don’t feel like there’s enough police around, especially when I enter the hill.”
A second robbery was reported at Van Nuys’ home around 3:30am, and a third burglary occurred at Sherman Oaks’ home the night before at 9:30pm.
For those living in the Hollywood Hills area, they said they were grateful that no one was injured during the ordeal. The suspect in that case was later arrested. However, fearing the possibility of future invasions puts the residents in the upper hand.
Marzullo said he wants to see more law enforcement in his community and wants strong penalties for home intrusions and robbery crimes.

Police are advised residents to keep their homes bright at night to stop burglars and report suspicious activity that could be seen on the streets.
