The search continues for the driver of a Rolls-Royce that fled the scene of a Van Nuys crash after colliding with a Mercedes.
Four people were hospitalized after a multi-vehicle rollover crash Friday night, Los Angeles police said. The incident was reported on West Sherman Circle near Sherman Way just before 10 p.m.
Before the collision, the Mercedes and Rolls-Royce were speeding side by side when the Mercedes collided with a Chevrolet Traverse that was turning at Sherman Circle. The driver of the Honda was thrown from the vehicle and taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries, police said.
The driver of the Mercedes remained at the scene, but the driver of the Rolls-Royce collided with another vehicle and drove off. The driver of the car whose Rolls-Royce collided was also hospitalized. The extent of this person’s injuries is unknown.
Police have not confirmed whether the two luxury cars were racing on the road.
