The theme for the 2025 Tournament of Roses Parade is “The Best Day Ever!” While city officials hope so, they encourage all spectators to follow the rules, especially the no-fly zone.
“We really want to emphasize that there are no drones,” Pasadena city spokeswoman Lisa Derderian told KTLA’s Shelby Nelson. “We have zero tolerance for that.”
Derderian added that fines for flying drones are high and violators can face jail time.
Officials said police vans will be dispersed throughout the parade route in case unruly spectators require arrests, and clear barricades will be used to block people’s access to floats and performers during the parade. It is said to be restricted.

Last year, a woman was taken into custody after driving her car into part of a barricade.
“Thankfully those barricades stopped her,” Derderian said. “Even if she didn’t kill several people in front of her, she could have easily been injured.”

Officials are also reminding parade participants that overnight camping spots will not be available until noon Tuesday.
“All persons and property, including blankets, chairs, and personal items, must remain at the curb until 11 p.m.,” Pasadena fire and police officials said in a statement. “At that time, spectators may move up to the blue ‘honor line’ but may not cross it.”
Despite all the rules and regulations, parade participants like Jean Millard and her husband, who flew in from Wyoming to watch their grandson play the euphonium in the parade, are having a good time. I’m looking forward to it.
“I’m kind of excited, yeah,” Millard told KTLA.
