Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced Wednesday that the US would “aggressively” revoke visas for Chinese students.
“Under President Donald Trump’s leadership, the US State Department will work with the Department of Homeland Security to actively revoke visas for Chinese students.
The State Department will also amend visa standards to enhance scrutiny of all future visa applications from the People’s Republic of China and the People’s Republic of Hong Kong.
In March, House Republicans introduced the pinnacle of Chinese Communism by establishing intellectual protection measures in the academia law, also known as the Stop CCP Visas Act.

In an interview with Fox Business on May 12, R-FLA Sen. Ashley Moody criticized the criticism of providing student visas to Chinese citizens, citing a Stanford University report revealing alleged Chinese Communist Party activities on US university campuses.
The report, published by the Stanford Review, details an incident in which a man pretending to be a student at Stanford University targeted women at university to collect information from China’s State Department.

“Can we continue to provide 300,000 student visas to Chinese citizens each year? If you know that it’s legally necessary to gather intelligence for CCP, the answer is simple.
In addition to the new China national policy, Rubio announced new visa restrictions on “conspiracy” to censor Americans on Wednesday.

“For too long, Americans have been fined, harassed and even been charged by foreign authorities for exercising their right to free speech,” Rubio wrote in the mail. “Today, I am announcing a new visa restriction policy that applies to foreign officials and people who are conspiring to censor Americans.
“Free speech is essential to the American way of life. It is a birthright that foreign governments do not have authority.”
