Runyon Canyon Park has partially reopened to the public after it was closed for several weeks after the sundown fire.
According to an Instagram post in the LA Recreation and Parks division, the popular Hollywood Hills hiking spots are open to visitors everywhere except in the West Trail area.
The Wattle’s Mansion and Garden, located at the foot of the park near the West Trail area, is also still closed to the public due to the fire damage, the agency said.
According to the department, the 160-acre City Park was closed for almost three weeks after part of it was damaged in a sunset fire.
The fire ignited on North Solar Drive just west of the park near the West Trail area, which ultimately burned about 48 acres, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
When Runyon Canyon first closed, Park officials said it would remain as is “to allow for your safety and rehabilitation of your habits.”
It is not clear that additional work or repairs will require additional work or repairs for the West Trail area to reopen. A City Parks spokesman did not immediately respond to Times questions on Thursday.
