San Bernardino County firefighters have made significant advances in combating 15 acres of wildfires that threaten at least one structure.
Cable fire was first reported in the 1500 block of Martin Ranch Road in San Bernardino at around 3:30pm on Sunday, according to Cal Fire.
Firefighters said the flame, which had been moving at a rapid rate of spread, began to move from grass to heavy brush just before 4pm, urging staff to request eight additional fire trucks to help with the fight.

According to Cal Fire, the evacuation order was issued at Martin Ranch Road north of West Myers and an evacuation warning for Little League Drive south of West Myers.
Photos and video footage released by firefighters show heavy smoke in the area, with at least one structure showing smoke and fire just behind it.
In an update at about 6:30pm, firefighters said crews were surrounding the fire, dealing with hot spots on their heads and getting 30% containment.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
