Police say the man was found shot dead near a sports facility on the San Bernardino and Riverside County border.
According to the Colton Police Department, officers responded to a report of someone shot dead at about 5am in the 3600 block of Placentia Lane, near the AB Brown Sports Complex.
Police arrived in the area and found the victim identified as 41-year-old Christacangutierrez of San Bernardino, suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
Colton Fire Station paramedics arrive to save their lives, but eventually declared Gutierrez was dead at the scene.
Police did not say whether they had an account of the suspect or if there were anyone interested, but the detectives department said they had taken the investigation into it.
Additionally, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s scientific research force responded to help deal with crime scenes.
