Scotus is now allowing the Trump Pentagon’s transgender ban to come into effect
The Supreme Court sided with the Trump administration in lifting a lower court order that suspended the Pentagon’s transgender military ban.
In a short order on Tuesday, the High Court handed over the White House victory as Trump attempted to chase the agenda of the Biden era of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). The court continued its lower court order and allowed the Pentagon policy to take effect. Justices Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan and Ketanji Brown Jackson would have denied the administration’s appeal and maintained the lower court’s injunction.
Schilling v. the United States, who is struggling with lawsuits, has banned transgender military members in President Donald Trump’s January executive order. The order called for the Department of Defense to update its guidance on “transporting medical standards for military service” and “rescinate guidance that is inconsistent with military preparation.” …read more
