First on Fox: Small business managers announced a series of reforms on Thursday aimed at ensuring illegal immigrants will not receive taxpayer benefits and remove offices from the sanctuary city.
The SBA, led by administrator Kelly Loeffler, said in a press release that “puts American citizens first by ending the benefits of illegal alien taxpayers.”
The agency says in the coming days it will implement a new policy requiring SBA loan applicants to include a citizenship verification clause that ensures that only legal citizens have access to the program. The press release also explains that lenders need to ensure that businesses are not owned “in whole or in part by illegal foreigners” in order to match President Trump’s executive order banning “open border taxpayer subsidies.”
Six regional offices in the sanctuary city will also be relocated, according to a press release.

These offices include locations in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Denver, New York City and Seattle. The agency says the new location is in a lower, more accessible area, “suitable for small business communities and complies with federal immigration laws.”
“In the past four years, record-breaking aggression by illegal foreigners has put both the lives of American citizens and the lives of American small business owners.

“Under President Trump, the SBA is committed to putting American citizens first again. It starts by ensuring that zero taxpayer dollars fund illegal aliens.”
Loeffler continued. “We are pleased to announce today that this agency will be relocating local offices from sanctuary cities that block access to illegal foreign loans and reward criminal activity. We will focus on legal and qualified business owners across the United States and work together to help this administration work together to take charge of safe communities and communities.
